River City Rub


BBQ Beans

 

4 slices of bacon (chopped)
2 cups of finely chopped onions
3 cloves of garlic
2 cans of pork and beans (15oz cans)
1/4 cup of dark brown sugar
1/4 cup of molasses
1/4 cup of bbq sauce
2 tbl of Worcestershire sauce
2 tbl of prepared mustard
2 tbl of bbq dry rub (see dry rub recipe)
1 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp of salt
1 1/2 cups of smoked pork or chicken (optional)

Set smoker/grill for indirect cooking. 
Cook bacon for about 5 minutes, chop and add bacon and fat to beans.
Add all remaining ingredients to beans and mix well.
Place beans inside smoker and cook at 250* for about 30 minutes or until beans or hot.
